Bullion Depository Storage
We provide a unique storage service within our Wellington bullion depository for clients with larger gold or silver bullion holdings.
Unlike most bullion depositories, New Zealand Vault offers the additional security and control of storing your fully allocated and segregated bullion in a high-grade safe that sits within our bullion depository.
Each client’s bullion will be first packaged into a box, complete with your client ID, and secured with tamper evident tape. This box will then be deposited into a safe within the bullion depository by us, along with international accountancy firm, Crowe Australasia. The safe will then be closed.
Our bullion depository service fees are based on a percentage value of the bullion stored and include insurance and the service of Crowe Australasia acting on your behalf. This vault is fitted with world class systems and security protocols and is only opened when we are depositing or withdrawing bullion from a safe at the written request of a client.

How Your Bullion Will Be Stored
Bullion arrives at New Zealand Vault
When your bullion arrives at New Zealand Vault it will be deposited into your safety deposit box or safe within our Wellington Depository by international accountancy firm, Crowe Australasia, along with a New Zealand Vault custodian.
They will provide you with the following service:
They will open the package and check that the bullion received matches what is on the delivery schedule.
They will deposit the bullion into your own safety deposit box or safe and lock it
Finally, New Zealand Vault will email you the confirmation certificate, signed off by Crowe Australasia confirming that the bullion has been safely deposited into your safety deposit box.
There is no additional fee for the Crowe Australasia service.
You Are In Control
Each safety deposit box has two keys and each safe has 2 six-digit codes.
One key or code is held by New Zealand Vault and the other held by Crowe Australasia. Both keys/codes are required in order to open the safety deposit box or safe.
New Zealand Vault cannot access your safety deposit box or safe without the key/code held by Crowe Australasia and Crowe Australasia cannot access it without the New Zealand Vault’s key/code.
Both New Zealand Vault and Crowe Australasia will only act on your written instructions to open your box or safe for any reason. In order to remove any bullion and return it to you, we require your signed written request.
As a result, you are in complete control as to who and when your safety deposit box or safe can be accessed.
