World Class Treasury Grade Vault

Bullion Depository

New Zealand Vault provides our clients with two options for the storage of your bullion.

You can store bullion in our safe deposit box vaults, or in our specialist bullion depository located in Wellington.

Our treasury grade bullion depository is ideal for clients with larger holdings of gold, platinum and silver. Unlike most depositories, New Zealand Vault offers the additional security and control of storing your fully allocated and segregated gold and platinum in high grade safes that sit within our bullion depository. Silver will be stored within sealable pallet cages.

Each client’s bullion will be first packaged into a box, complete with client ID, and secured with tamper evident tape. This box will then be deposited into a safe within the bullion depository by a New Zealand Vault Custodian, along with an Auditor from international accountancy firm, Crowe Australasia.

The safe will then be closed. This vault is fitted with world class systems and security protocols and is only opened when we are depositing or withdrawing bullion from a safe, at the written request of a client.

Crowe Australasia and NZ Vault will write to you documenting and confirming what was deposited to your safe.

Our bullion depository service fees are based on a percentage value of the bullion stored and include insurance and the service of Crowe Australasia acting on your behalf. For more information on our pricing please phone us on +64 (4) 499 9333 or email us at support@nzvault.com

2. They will deposit the bullion into your own safety deposit box or safe and lock it
3.  They will then place the key to your safety deposit box or the code to your safe into their safety deposit box and hold it in their safe custody

You Are In Control

Each safe in our bullion depository has two codes - one held by New Zealand Vault and the other held by Crowe Australasia.

Both codes are required in order to open the safe where your bullion will be stored. New Zealand Vault cannot access your bullion without the code held by Crowe Australasia and Crowe Australasia cannot access it without New Zealand Vault’s code.

Both New Zealand Vault and Crowe Australasia will only act on your written instructions to remove the bullion. As a result, you are in complete control as to who and when your bullion can be accessed.
